Members of the Lions of Judah, a women's campaign division of United Jewish Communities, have long become synonymous with the philanthropic spirit that reflects strength, honor, and dedication. Just as the lion symbolizes the Tribe of Judah, the leader of the 12 tribes of Israel and just as Judah's strength and dedication enabled him to lead the Jewish people of his time; today, women who are Lions of Judah embody those same traits in leading their peers.
The annual conference of the Lions of Judah took place this November in Tel Aviv. According to the entries, more than 1,000 women from the United States attended the conference, with 800 women visiting Jewish Agency projects. At Jewish Agency sites across the country, the women met with participants in the various programs.

Members of the Palm Beach region visited the Jewish Agency's Hadassah-Neurim Youth Aliyah Village, where the women heard a survey on the youth villages in general and the uniqueness of Hadassah-Neurim in particular.
One of the highlights was meeting with the students, the majority of whom are outstanding track and field athletes. They also learned how their academic activities were enhanced by the Net@ program, which operates amongst students in the afternoon hours.
Upon completing their visit to the village, the delegation continued onwards and toured other Jewish Agency programs.
