Currently, a new immigrant pays a lessened tax rate of 25% when purchasing a vehicle with an engine capacity of up-to 1750 cc and 50% when purchasing a vehicle with a larger engine capacity (compared to the general tax rate of 95-100%). In accordance to the new ordinance, it was decided that for the time being the discrepancy between the two engine capacities will be canceled and all new immigrants will pay a lessened tax rate of 50%.

During the first week of January we hosted the representative of AACI, Mrs. Josie Arbel. Mrs. Arbel gave information about the resent changes in the Aliyah benefits.Based on her many years of experience, Mrs. Arbel drew some guide line for last preparations before the actual Aliyah.
The performances took place in Boston, New York and Miami and some 130 families joined them.
A special seminar for retirees was held in New York and drew 40 Aliyah candidates.

Professional information about professions
The Jewish Agency signed an agreement with a manpower company in Israel.
The company will help candidates for Aliyah in writing their resume for the Israeli market.
The company will also help with leads for a new job placement in Israel.
